In a review of cities with affordable housing and a strong employment market, Zillow, a real estate data company, ranks Atlanta as a favorable city offering both advsntages. According to Zillow, Atlanta offers a housing price-to-income ratio of 2.7, compared with 8.8 for San Francisco.

College Graduates Unprepared For Employment

A Gallup survey found 96 percent of university provosts around the country think that their college graduates are prepared for employment, but only 11 percent of business leaders agree.

The National Campus Leadership Council, in recognition of this gap, is hosting events in 15 cities including Atlanta. These events are designed to include college students in the conversation about being prepared for employment.

Last week, an event was held at Temple University where 20 students and business leaders met for a round-table discussion on preparing for companies’ expectations.
